How cute is this bird cage veil. Channel your inner hollywood diva with any of the adorably elegant bird cage veils at www.castlebride.com they have brought to life this style from the glamour days of gone by.
They are haute couture and for the pizzaz while not actually inepensive I find them to be fairly budget friendly for most brides the one featured on my blog is $500.00
The short veil would look so cute with the new bubble style dresses perfect for a destination wedding.
Each one is handcrafted and no two are alike, I love the details of this one it reminds me of a starfish embelishment.
What type of veil are you wearing?

Some who read this blog frequently may think I have a flip flop obsession...maybe I do! I certainly seem to feature a number of flip flops in my blog... wonder if it is because I plan destination weddings and feel as if I am in a proverbial state of summer,or if I would be equally obsessed if I were in a more conventional profession... hmm... shall ponder that, for now can not resist one more blog about flipping for flip flops, again!
For less than $40 one buys the basic flip flop and for $10 you can purchase new straps for the flip flops that make them instantly changeable they morph, from beach flip flops to elegant flip flops perfect for dancing the night away, with the ulitmate option of being barefoot in the sand with a quick kick off... what is not to fall in love with! Super easy to pack, where them from airport security all the way home again packing a vacations worth of straps in your carry on and not add more than a few ounces of precious weight in your luggage.. check out the site and you will flip too! www.switchflops.com

Recently I was faced with a couple who had only one weekend of the entire year that they could do their destination wedding and they fell in love with a resort that is very busy with weddings.. well to make a long story short the resort offered to accommodate them with an 11:00am ceremony, less than ideal if you have your heart set on a big sit down dinner type of reception... So we explored doing a brunch and in all honesty really did not like anything about that idea... so we decided to have the ceremony at 11:00am followed by an elaborate fruit buffet, with somone slicing fresh fruit, tropical fruit displays and cut fruit served in a really pretty way, we will have a waiter serving mocktails in coconuts and pineapples! There will be live island music playing.
The guests will then have the rest of the afternoon to themselves and in the evening the couple will have the sit down dinner reception of their dreams.
In the end this will be something that looked like a first choice and not a choice of last resort!
Being flexible can have big rewards and save on hair color!
Happy Planning!

What are you thinking of doing yourself for the wedding?

I am working with a cute couple.. they are all cute.. they are in love and enjoy working with me.. anyhow...
The future groom proposed to his fiance by suprising her on the beach and presenting her with a message in a bottle asking her to marry him!
In brainstorming they decided that they would like to give each of their guests a message in the bottle too! I have had couples in the past use a message in a bottle as a unique wedding invitation.. here we were looking to use it somewhere else...
Things you Could Use Them For:
Thank you Note to be left in guests rooms upon check-in
Favor on plates
Tuck your wedding program inside
Have them hand delivered the morning of the wedding ceremony with the days events
The messages in a bottle featured above are from a cool website dedicated to unique message in a bottles, check them out at www.amessagebottle.com
You can also purchase the supplies from a number of online sources and put your own together.
I am sure that there are many more cool things to do with a message in the bottle, these are a few... let me know what others you can think of.
