I have recently heard of a bride locally who received a wedding quilt with squares personalized by guests..... this got me thinking...

What a great way to commemorate a destination wedding.  You could actually do a progression of squares, having guests at an engagement party customize a square, a square to be returned as a reply to your wedding invitation, a square created at your wedding in your tropical destination and even squares created at your shower and at home reception.

The squares are pre cut pieces of fabric cut in uniform sizes depending on the design you chose.  You would have fabric pens available for the guests to customize the squares... you could also have small items to be glued with fabric glue or even sewed be sure to have small travel sewing kits.  This activity will bring out the fun and creativity in all.

The image above was created by  Cheri Guariglia , for her daughters wedding, she actually photo transfered one of thier engagement photos to the square what a great gift, if any one knows someone especially crafty they can create something like this to be used as the centerpiece of the quilt.

This is a memory you will cherish everyday whether mounted on a wall or on the end of your bed each square will remind you of a loved one and your special day and the thoughts they had for you on that special day.
