Growing up, I can remember my mother saying, when you are done getting dressed and finished accessorizing, remove one accessory before going out of the house! What did she mean, when you over do it each thing loses its special quality, it is harder to appreciate each thing when we are senses are overwhelmed even if all with nice things.
That is a wonderful way to approach a destination wedding. When lamenting that you can not afford to have each extra you might like, remember your guests will appreciate the few extra touches more when they are not overwhelmed by many details they are sure to overlook some of what you have worked so hard on. An example of less is more is are you going to spend extra money on chivari chairs, if so forgo the big sash and instead embrace the simple beauty afforded by the chairs.
So think of all of the details you can for your wedding but remember before you go ahead with ordering all, take away one or two your budget will appreciate it and in the end your wedding decor will be nicer for it!
